Child Safety Standards
Last updated: September 19, 2026
postTXT (“we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the text-only public social network at posttxt.com and related mobile applications. This page describes our standards for protecting children and our zero-tolerance approach to child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE).
1. Not directed at children under 13
postTXT is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country, if higher). Do not create an account or use the service if you are under that age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that an account belongs to a child under 13, we will take steps to remove the account and associated data.
2. Zero tolerance for CSAE
We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including but not limited to:
- Any sexual content involving minors (anyone under 18)
- Grooming, solicitation, or attempts to engage minors in sexual activity
- Sharing, requesting, or linking to child sexual abuse material (CSAM)
- Any other exploitation of children
Such content and behavior are strictly prohibited on postTXT. Accounts that create, share, or solicit this material will be removed. We may preserve evidence as required by law.
3. How to report
If you see content or behavior that may involve child sexual abuse or exploitation, or that otherwise endangers a child, please report it immediately:
- In-app: Use Report on any post (··· menu) or profile. Choose Child safety / CSAE as the reason. You must be logged in. Reports are stored for our team and treated as high priority.
- Email: contact@posttxt.com
Include the post URL or post ID, the user’s handle if known, a short description of the concern, and any screenshots that help us locate the material. Do not forward illegal images; describe them and point us to where they appear on postTXT.
Mobile apps can also submit reports via the authenticated API (POST /api/v1/reports) with reason child_safety.
4. Legal compliance and cooperation
We are committed to complying with applicable laws relating to child safety and the prohibition of child sexual abuse material, including obligations that apply to online platforms in the jurisdictions where we operate.
- We will remove illegal content involving CSAE / CSAM when we become aware of it.
- We will cooperate with law enforcement and competent authorities when required by law, including lawful requests for information related to investigations of child exploitation.
- Where legally required, we will make reports to the appropriate authorities or designated clearinghouses.
5. Moderation
postTXT is a text-only network (no photo or video posts). We still review reports of abusive or illegal text, links, and account activity. We may suspend or delete accounts, remove posts, and restrict access as needed to enforce these standards.
6. Related policies
